We made using the FSI - Spanish Basic Course - Volume 1 material easier to use and more effective. You can now read the ebook (in the pane on the left), listen to the audio (pane to the right) and practice your pronunciation (use on the Pronunciation Tool tab on right) all at the same time.
The FSI - Spanish Basic Course - Volume 1 material can be used both as a self-guided course or with the Skype Spanish lessons of a qualified Spanish tutor.
Note: Some of these ebooks are quite large and may take a minute to fully load.
The Spanish Supplement for Secretaries is designed to aid secretaries employed in the foreign affairs community and assigned to positions in Spanish-speaking countries. The manual covers special expressions for office work and is therefore not intended as the primary language text, but rather as ancillary material.
The Supplement consists of eleven units, two preliminary ones covering cardinal numbers and the alphabet, followed by nine practice units having the following format:
The last section of this Supplement contains a list of all the words presented in the nine practice units. In full-time training courses, at the Foreign Service Institute the Supplement is introduced during the second week of study and is used for one hour per day.
